Apple’s done it: it’s added what everyone’s been asking for with the iPad mini, and that’s a razor-sharp Retina display. Read on for all the details. Has the new Nexus 7 had its day in the sun?

Though the iPad mini keeps the same portable 7.9-inch display, Apple has managed to stuff in the same crystal clear 2048×1536 resolution as the new iPad Air. It’s powered by the 64-bit A7 chip, and boasts four times faster CPU performance than last year’s mini, plus eight times faster graphics performance. It’s also got an impressive ten hour battery life, letting you tap away all day long.

It’s set to launch in late November in silver and white, and space gray and black, setting you back £319 for the 16GB version with Wi-Fi, and £419 for the model with a 3G/4G connection. You can double up your storage for £399, while the 64GB version costs £479, and the massive 128GB variant will cost you £559 – with an £100 premium the cellular variant. The current iPad mini will still be on sale for a lower price, down from £269 to just £249.

What do you reckon of the new Retina iPad mini, or do you still think Google’s latest Nexus 7 the full HD way to go? Sound off in the comments below!
